Follow the steps below to enable the cookies and JavaScript needed to use the Aardvark Tax Online web site.

Internet Explorer 7.0

Use the following instructions for enabling cookies and JavaScript in Internet Explorer 7.0.

Enabling Cookies

  1. Click on the Tools popup-menu in Internet Explorer.
  2. Click on the Internet Options item in the menu. A new window will open.
  3. Select the Privacy tab and then click the Sites button.
  4. Click on the Privacy tab near the top of the window.
  5. Click on the Sites button. A new window will open.
  6. In the edit box, enter www.aardvarktax.com and click Allow. The Aardvark Tax Online website will appear in the managed websites window with the setting "Always Allow." Click OK.
  7. Save your changes by clicking OK.

Enabling Javascript

  1. Click on the Tools popup-menu in Internet Explorer.
  2. Click on the Internet Options item in the menu. A new window will open.
  3. Select the Security tab and then click the "Custom Level" button.
  4. Navigate close to the bottom of the Settings box until you get to the scripting section. Choose "Enable" under Active Scripting. Click OK.
  5. When asked if you're sure you want to change the settings, choose Yes.
  6. Save your changes by clicking OK. Note: This allows JavaScript to run from all web sites.

Internet Explorer 6.0

Use the following instructions for enabling cookies and JavaScript in Internet Explorer 6.0.

Enabling Cookies

  1. Choose the "Options" choice under the Tools menu. A new window will open.
  2. Choose the Privacy tab.
  3. Under the "Settings" group, click the "Sites..." button. A new window will open.
  4. In the edit box, enter www.aardvarktax.com and click Allow. The Aardvark Tax Online website will appear in the managed websites window with the setting "Always Allow." Click OK.
  5. Save your changes by clicking OK.

Enabling Javascript

  1. Choose the "Internet Options" menu item under the Tools menu. A new window will open.
  2. Choose the Security tab.
  3. Under "Security level for this zone," click the "Custom Level" button.
  4. Navigate close to the bottom of the Settings box until you get to the scripting section. Choose "Enable" under Active Scripting. Click OK.
  5. When asked if you're sure you want to change the settings, choose Yes.
  6. Save your changes by clicking OK. Note: This allows JavaScript to run from all web sites.

Firefox 3.0

Use the following instructions for enabling cookies and JavaScript in Firefox 3.0.

Enabling Cookies

  1. If you're using Windows, choose the "Options" choice under the Tools menu. If you're using Linux, choose the "Preferences" choice under the Edit menu.
  2. Select the Privacy option.
  3. If you'd like to enable cookies for all sites, check the boxes to "Accept cookies from sites" and "Accept third-party cookies." Click OK to save your settings. If you've chosen this method, you may skip the next step.
  4. If you'd like to only enable the Aardvark Tax Online website, click the Exceptions button. Type "www.aardvarktax.com" in the Address of Web Site edit box. Click the Allow button. Click Close and then click OK to save your settings.

Enabling Javascript

  1. If you're using Windows, choose the "Options" choice under the Tools menu. If you're using Linux, choose the "Preferences" choice under the Edit menu.
  2. Click the Content option.
  3. Check the "Enable Javascript" checkbox.
  4. Click OK to save your settings.
